Spooky Cafe time

For the last couple of years
my mom has made a Spooky Cafe
The kids look forward to
just as much as the adults
We even decorate the kitchen

Trying to make it as spooky as possible.
We added some new types of food.  The ones that are hand written were written by Julia (our host student)

Once we all had our bellies nice and full from Spooky Cafe, it was time to carve the pumpkins.  This year Erin was not wanting to participate in it.

This was Julia's first time carving a pumpkin.  Found out she is an artist too and a good one.  She free handed drew the bat, ghost and boo on her pumpkin.

Sunday it snowed up at my parents

This is my foot on Monday.  Saturday while playing in the woods I was on a log and slipped off.  I had hiking boots on which probably saved my foot.  I didn't have much pain at all just stiffness.  Monday the bruising was getting worse as the swelling was too.  People were telling me to go get it checked out to make sure no fracture.  I complied and found out no fracture or sprain but deep tissue traumatic injury to the foot, ankle and lower calf and was taken off work for a week.  I had specific orders for the next 48 hours to do minimum walking on it.  I rented a bunch of movies to keep my planted on the couch with my foot elevated.  That was very hard to do as I normally stubborn and keep going on my business.  I knew I really needed to listen to the doctor because I am missing 5 days worth of work and unfortunately not being paid.
The last couple of days, I have been on my feet more.  The swollen has gone down some, the bruising has stopped spreading.  It does ache more now as the swelling goes down. I have been saying many prayers and trying to not do full use of it.  I go back to the doctor on Monday and pray he will give me the ok to go back to work on Tuesday.
