Garage Sale results and Jade on her way

Our garage sale was a huge success even with it raining 2 of the 3 days. Thursday was a gorgeous day and were very busy all day, we even had people before and after the sale hours. On Wednesday we started putting the sale together at 11. My mother and Mother in law came over and started the pricing. We set up canopies in our front yard was a saving Grace. My niece came over in the afternoon to help and at supper time my brother and my sister in law showed up and stayed the evening to set up. My girlfriend Stacy arrived later Wednesday. Thursday morning when we opened up we didn't have everything out and the moms marked all day until the last item was out at 4PM. Our goal for the garage sale was 1000 dollars for the 3 days. We made over that the first day and finished the sale at 1,539 dollars, in addition to the sale we received 120 dollars in donations in the mail. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE SALE, SAID PRAYERS, AND HELPED IN IT. My friend Stacy was an awesome cashier and when people tried to talk prices down, she stood firm and explained what this sale was for (we had posters and signs out about it) and most people still brought the item for what it was marked for. When it was downpouring on Friday, my good friend Helen said God is crying tears of joy for the success of the sale and that you are that much closer to bring Daphne(the name the CCAA gave her, we are hoping to call her Erin)home. Praise the Lord on that. Sunday night we submitted the first part of the paperwork and now waiting for our agency (out of state) to let us know what agency in MN can do our homestudy. Because we had so much good stuff left and being rained out. We have decided to do another garage sale on September 17,18,19.
People have been wanting to donate money to bring Daphne home, I added a chip in on this blog,as you can see below. I haven't been able to figure how to put it on the side bar of the blog so that people will always see it when they log onto the blog, so if anyone knows how to do it, please email me at smbarrett1@yahoo.com.
Jade is now flying over the ocean on her way here. She will be landing in Chicago around 2PM and has a 4 hours layover there before arriving here. She will go thru customs in Chicago and hopefully this time she won't be stopped for anything seeing that when she came here last summer she had something with her that she wasn't suppose to have and when she went home to China, she was honest and told them that she had a fever the week before. Jade should be getting here around 7:45PM tonight and the first thing she requested for was a bonfire.
