Thankfulness and Tradition

This post was started on Friday and has taken me two days to complete.

First I am very thankful for many things in my life.

For God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit for never leaving my side.

My parents for doing such a wonderful job raising me and their never ending support.

My older sister who continues to amaze me each and every day and has been my life line so many times.

My two older brothers one close and one many states away.  Both of them have given me such great advice and guidance on many different things and always there for me.

For my 5 daughters that keep me on my toes and helps me become a better person each day, even on the days I fail.

The father to my children, Dave.  Even though we have been separated and divorced for almost 3 years, he is still there trying to be supportive and helps out.

For my in laws on both sides for the continuous support you have given me and my girls.

For the friends near and far, cyber world and bloggers that has helped me understand things and let me know that I am not alone. 

With keep the tradition going, I am grateful that Dave and I families still enjoy one another despite us being divorce.

When together, we had both sides of the family over for pretty much the whole afternoon and early evening, this has continue.

Around 5 years ago, I started an Am*azing race tradition for the kids

and it is still going, they look forward to this.

Last year, I started to take ideas from win it by the min*te.

This year we had both grandma and my sister included.  We had three teams with Katie, Monika, and Jenny being teams.  They drew names and picked team names.

This consist of her 3 cousins

This consist of her grandma, sister and cousin.

We took a lot of pictures and unfortunately we got a lot of pictures that were blurry, but caught some good ones too.

 Katie balance 6 dices on a stick that is in her mouth.  Had to do one by one.

 Grandma Jackie really struggled with this one.  She could get 5 no problem, but that 6th one just didn't want to work with her at all

 Next game you paired up with a teammate, one had to get a fruit loop out of the bowl using only the stick

 The other person had to stick 6 (one of each color) on the stick in the moutn

 Grandpa took cat naps during the game.  But didn't miss much action.

 Time to balance 4 chapstick tubes on top of one another using chopsticks.

 Next was the cookie from the forehead to the mouth.  Erin is a pro at this one.

Monika working hard it too, got close but couldn't get it in.  All the other pictures of others doing it were blurry.

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving with, some of the people you are thankful to have in your life.  IT was a wonderful day and look forward to our next year Am*zing Race tradition where memories are made.
