Little helps Big

Erin has been making progress with school,

It still hard for her.

She is getting better about

attempting her homework on her own first

and then if she gets stuck asking for help.

She not getting to the point where she

gets frustrated and shuts down

and then doing the negative thoughts.

 

We are visiting my parents this weekend.

Erin has algebra homework.

She was working hard on it by herself upstairs.

My dad was also up there seeing that.

A little while later Erin came down

said she was stuck on 4 problems.

Monika offer to help.

Erin accepted Monika's offer

They went upstairs

Monika explained and was able to help her with 2 problems.

Erin was very appreciative.

 

Not to long ago, this wouldn't have happen.

Erin would have not accepted

help from her younger (by 5 years) sister.

and would have started the negative

talk of I am stupid and dumb

and why do I need to learn this stuff.

 

Now she understands that we all learn

differently.

We all have strong and weak things

and luckily in our house

we even out pretty good.
