This spring the girls and I talked

about having another exchange student.

after looking at many different students,

we decided on a 16 year old girl

from Germany

 Thursday August 21, the day had finally come

We have been in contact with her thru Email, and she called

and had wished Monika and Katie a happy birthday.

Her flight was delayed almost 1 1/2 hours and didn't arrive

until close to 7:30.

There was 12 other families with the same organization waiting 

for their German student.

 Just over 12 hours from arriving from Germany

and we headed to the state fair.

 Elli has shown a lot of interest in sign language and does 

try to communicate with Erin.  Monika

 Friday the 22nd was 6 years for Jade arriving in America

and into my heart.  We spend the day together with all her sisters,

and Elli at the state fair.

We decided we would celebrate on Saturday the 23.

Jade requested to stay home for supper instead of us going out.

Elli and Jenny made homemade Vegetable Lasagna and German

Chocolate cake. 

 Jade requested 6 candles eventhough it wasn't her 

birthday, she was really excited to have

 candles. 

She is leaving in a few days to start a new chapter in her life

unfortunately she will be in Boston now.

I am so grateful and Praise the Lord that Elli

is a perfect fit with us right now.  

Her willingness to learn our rules and sign language

and likes to interact with all of us.

Can't wait to see what the next few years will be like.
