It has been a long wait
At times been frustrating,
not seeing things clearly
struggling with more then one way
Yet everyday there was a smile.
accommodating and being patience
knowing that soon would be
reuniting something that is precious.
November 16 she said goodbye to them,
She longed for them
many times looked at them
wishing.
After 225 days which is 7 months and 12 days
The magical day was here

Katie was cleared to....
Put her glasses back on. She is allow to wear them for 30 minutes every hour.
With her being deaf in one ear and not able to see clearly, she was a champion with it.
She rarely complained
The swelling has come down a lot with her ear
We were told 6 months and we are currently 6 weeks post op.
She said they fit perfect that Dr. Walsh did a perfect job in cutting her ear.
When asked how they felt
she said they stay on, I can just slip them on
I don't have to try to adjust them so they stay on my little ear
They feel tight just like my other ear.
She has one more surgery for sure. She is scheduled in late August.
This one will drill into the inner ear.
Thank you God and Dr. Walsh for making it perfect for her.
PS...sorry mom that this isn't the post I promised you this morning, but felt this was a better celebration. Will post the other one later.
