Last meet of competition season 2013-2014

Sunday morning

came very early to compete.

We had to arrive at 7:45 in the morning.

Katie and Monika were competing at the same

time.  

Katie was flight A 

and Monika was flight B

And my camera wasn't with

All the pictures are off my phone

 Because it was early morning and when we arrive it was chaotic

no pre-meet pictures of the girls 

with the teammates.

 Katie had another good meet.

She continued to score in the 9's in bars.

all season she was in 9's.

 Her team got 2nd place overall.

 Monika didn't have a good meet at all.

Was her 2nd worse meet ( she score just above her score from the first meet).

I thought it might be related to the possible c*ncussion.

Coaches feel it is because she only got 3 1/2 hours practice in for a whole week

due to school/gymnastics being closed for 2 days because of the cold

and then being out for 2 days because of the possible c*oncussion.

 Monika's team got first place and got their last two goals they needed

to earn a pizza party.

They were pretty excited about that.

The first 3 meets Katie and Selia scored the same on the bars.

the next 5 meets, Selia hit a road block and struggled.

The last meet, she came back

and they both scored 9.225

 Katie placed 4th on vault and 3rd on Bars.

she was 6th all around and got a medal for that.

Monika manged to place 10th on bars and 8th on floor.

 After spending the day at the meet supporting the other level teammates we headed over to Dave's parents house for soup super bowl supper.  This is a picture 

of Erin with Dave and I.

Not even two years ago would she have been cozy with Dave at all.

Sunday night they got to do a sleep over in my bed because no school on Monday and I didn't have to work.

Katie and Monika told me they don't sleep on their bellies.  So I took the picture to prove to them they do.

I am sad to see the competition session to be done, but excited as they both should be moving up to the next level.  There is speculation that the girls might do split season next fall.

We will have to wait and see.

Monika team has already

been working on some of the next level skills and she is enjoying it.
