The day finally came,
It was a few months later then we originally planned for.
Jenny got to have the second surgery for her microtia ear.
She had the first one in November 2013 and was suppose
to have the second one in Feb. 2014.
Plans changed when after the first surgery
her cartilage was exposed.
We arrived at the same day surgery clinic at 6AM and wasn't able to get in
another couple was also waiting to get in. We had to wait to almost 6:15 before getting in.

She opt for the IV insertion and not the gas mask, She strongly dislikes that mask.
The nurse was able to get it in the first try.

The original plan was to doe more cosmetic surgery with the top and bottom earlobe.
At our last appt, he stated he wanted to try doing "Pop out the ear" surgery
to give the expose cartilage a chance to heal.
Surgery went longer then he initially thought. He didn't run into problems,
but he is precise and perfectionist which is very good.
He was very excited how it turned out.
He decided for the skin graft to take it from the same side of the
surgical ear. She has a long cut on her right lower abdomen area
and stated he tried to get it so it would all or mostly be covered with bikini's and so forth.
I love that he is so aware of where to make cuts and trying to do it so that it won't affect kids that they feel self conscious about.

She was very sad they didn't have Icees for her.
She stayed in the recovery room for about 1 1/2 hours before being spring out.
We stopped at T@rget to get her medications and Icees.
She enjoyed being pushed around in the cart and
handle things well. Stated she didn't have a lot of pain when out.
Came home, she opt for a movie.
