Graduating again....

June 11

Monika graduated again from elementary school.

No she didn't repeat a grade.

Her old school went to 5th grade,

but middle school doesn't start until

7th grade.  

With that, she had to attend another elementary school

for one year.

I attended this school for 4th and 5th grade,

back then middle school started in 6th grade.

Her teacher did a great job teaching Monika and keeping her

interested.

School mascot:  Bobcat.

There is two 6th grade teachers.

Mr. Miller and Ms. Radke.

Ms. Radke had an awesome

speech for the kids, main focus was 

be true to yourself and always try to do your best.

I had asked her for a copy of the speech, but haven't received it yet.

Monika is taking 9th grade algebra when she starts in middle school this fall.  Because of this, she was sent home with a thick packet to start working on algebra.  They have to turn it in when they start 7th grade.  She has been slowly working on it and hope she continues to do it every day, so she isn't scrambling at the end of the summer.

I am proud of you Monika,

You transition to a new school

without any of your friends from the old school transfer.

You embrace the challenges that Ms. Radke gave you.

You completed this chapter in your life.
