Monika had talked about dyeing her
hair for months.
Finally she got her parents
permission to do it,
with one
rule.
It is a gymnastic
Rule.
Before it was dyed.
She had it pretty long.
We were having our good
friend dye it.
Monika wanted Blue
Bleaching the hair
Monika taking a selfie picture
The dye made her hair a golden green
(is that even a color?)
and not blue like she hoped
The finished touched.
My friend said we would probably need to do it again.
Monika got to have this done the night before her last day of school
(Yes I am a month behind on this post)
One week later
we went back to dye it again.
She was going to have it dyed green as it had grown on her
Instead it was more of a turquoise color
and Monika absolutely loved it.
Monika really looks good with her tips dyed
I didn't think I would like it.
But I do.
She was told that we wouldn't be
dying her hair again for a long time.
And the Gymnastic rule:
No color hair during competition season.
Meaning that if she can't cover it in a bun.
it gets cut off.
That is why she chose tips.
She would have to get her hair cut close to shoulder length right now if she
would have to cut the color off.
Hopefully her hair will grow some
and Erin will be able to be pretty creative
with styling Monika's hair.
