What a fun weekend

Hard to beleive that the weekend is finishing up and it is time to get back to workforce reality. Saturday after gymnastics and dance, a friend of ours came over. She had just finished doing a walk for the humane society. She brought her dog over with her. Of course everyone went wild over her. Mandy was very tired from her walk, so all she wanted to do is sleep. Mandy was the first dog allowed in the house.

I spoke to a dear friend of my, her mother had some back surgery this past week and ended up with some complications from the surgery, they also haven't had very good luck with some of the staff at the hospital, so her and her sister are staying there around the clock. Her husband had plans for the evening so we offer to take their two kids for the evening. They are 7 and 5 so they are the same age as my girls. They had a lot of fun playing outside for awhile, then came in and watched "Hotel for Dogs". It is the 3rd time for us to see it and the first for Mia and Lily. That movie makes me cry every time at the end. It talks about making a family and that all families are unique, that anyone can be family even if they don't look or talk like you. Once the movie and supper was done, I took all 6 girls to a ice skating show. Monika's has a boy in her travel group. His older sister is a figure skater and model for Target. She is an senstational skater and really enjoys it. She has a radiant smile and really gets into the skating and entertaining the crowd. I wasn't able to get very good pictures of her because of the lightening and the movement. We really enjoyed it. I posted a couple of pictures of her. She had one solo and two group ones. In one of them, her big brother (who plays ice hockey) was a zombie. The girls all enjoyed it, they did get a little tired at the end of it. Jade said it made her night.

Today we spent the day at Festival of Nation and enjoyed ourselves. Once we got home, Dave and Jenny worked on making the garden boxes....Katie and Monika were busy playing on the swingset, I was breaking branches apart and Jade was studying hard.
