Action Pack two days

The younger 3 girls were off all week last week.  Erin was only off Thursday and Friday.  We headed up to my parent's place Wednesday night.  Thursday we went decided to go to a farm and get pumpkins for the girls to carve.  When we got there, the pumpkins were bad, so we drove to town and picked up pumpkins at Walmart and decided lunch at McDonald's.  The younger girls were playing in the playland after we finished eating.  The sign said you have to be 12 years old or younger.  Erin asked if she could just try it once.  I decided since she never done it before, to let her.  She had a great time up there with her sisters.  She even let her cousin Cassie take a picture of them, Even got a smile out of Erin for the picture

My parents have a trampoline and the girls love love it.  This is Monika in both picture, she knows how to get some Air.  She is doing so well in Gymnastic and has her first competition meet in 4 weeks.  She is also trying to teach Katie some things, and we have to keep reminder them that Katie and Jenny can't do things unless they have already learned it in Gymnastic.  Erin also enjoys doing cartwheels and jumping on it.
After we got back with our pumpkins and the girls had their time again on the trampoline, we carved pumpkins.  This year Erin took her time and worked at it.  All of them made great pumpkins
This is Monika's pumpkin, her and Cassie had fun with it
Here is their finished pumpkins.

A couple of Halloween ago, my mom did a surprise "spooky cafe" meal with my girls and they thought it was the greatest thing.  They asked my mom if she would do it again and so she did.  The pictures below is all the food we had and it was all yummmyyy yum

While at Walmart my girls wanted a hat similar to their cousin Cassie's hat (moose), they they picked up a panda (Monika), cat (Katie), Zebra (Jenny) and Owl (Erin), this picture was taken right before they got a ride by my dad.
Here they are on the homemade trailer that my dad built.  He took them out in the woods at night time, they had a blast.
Sunday Morning we were going to head to McDonald's again because it is a traditional for my parents to take the girls there for breakfast at least once when they are up there.  I try to tell them no as we ate there the day before, but I lost.  My parent's neighbor came over before we left with their 2 dogs because my girls requested them.  When they left it was to late for breakfast for McDonald's but that didn't discourage my girls as they begged and we went there again.
On our way back there is a horse farm not to far from my parents place.  We saw a couple of horses running around, so we pulled over and watched them.  Cassie then got out of the van and went down to the fence.  After a few minutes, a beautiful tan horse came up to Cassie and she was able to feed and pet him.  Pretty soon 9 more including a colt came up to the fence.  All the girls got to feed them.  I didn't have my camera with, but have my phone with me, took a lot of pictuere on it, but I can't get the pictures off the phone as I don't have text/data port and so forth.  We were there for about an hour before we left.  When we got back, Erin wanted to do Cassie hair, so here is the before picture above

Here is the after picture.  Erin also decided to do makeup but was limited on the selection of her grandma's makeup.

Here is Jenny and Cassie, I think it is a wonderful picture
Erin enjoys the go kart so much.  My parents own a woods and once we drive the go kart out into the woods, we let her drive it.  She is a very good drive and surprisely doesn't go as fast as it could go.  She took each of her sisters on the go kart along with Mom and Cassie.  Katie is enjoying it

Monika and Erin

Right before we left, the girls went out on the trampoline again and Katie is getting some Air time.

My parents commented on how much Erin laughed these two days there, that she was so relax and calm.  For the most part now, Erin is pretty mellow and I do see a lot of smiles and laughter from her.  When the men, especially her dad, you don't see that.  She was toleratent of my dad and didn't leave the room when he was around.  She also managed to stay in the same room as Dave this past coupld of weeks, she doesn't acknowledge him, but at least she is the same room.
I am so grateful that my parents are still here, that my girls are able to spend time with them and create some great memories with them.  They enjoy being with their grandparents on both sides of the family.  Each grandparents place has their own special things they like to do.

  1. Sue, you have a lovely family. It's clear you adore your daughters. I know that blogging is a wonderful way to share photos and updates with friends and family - as is Facebook, no doubt. But I can't help but to be concerned about your tendency to share in this public forum very intimate details about your daughter Erin. Her story is just that - it's hers. Detailing to the blogosphere that Erin has endured sexual abuse at the hands of men in China is not appropriate under any circumstances. Your daughter's first and last name, including pictures identifying her are at anyone's fingertips, and you have no right to compromise her privacy in this regard. Take up private journaling, and take this blog out of the public forum. It's not productive toward her recovery, and frankly it's irresponsible on your part.
