Saturday, I and the co-leader took Monika's girl scout to MN Zoo. We used our cookie money. I have a membership there and we had coupon too, so we only had to pay for a couple of the kids to get in. The girls had a blast and they got spoiled. They each got to spend 20 dollars in the gift shop, have whatever for lunch, dessert and then a treat later all from their cookie money. They did a great job selling girl scout cookies, and I thank all of you that purchase from her (and katie).
The butterfly exhibit just recently opened up and we went in there. I had a butterfly land on my shoulder.

Monika admiring the butterflies

Her wing span is a Peregrine Falcon. That blue vest she has on is a daisy girl scout, she is now going into brownies (she thinks she will be making lots of brownies now).
On Sunday we went to the Dragon Boat festival for the day. Dave was a paddler for the FCC crew name "Dragon Families". We had a blast screaming "FCC!!!FCC!!!". They managed to get 6th place out of 20 plus teams which included two semi-pro teams. Dave had a blast and wants to do it again. It was great seeing friends and meeting new ones.

Momika (Alex calls her that because she will be a mom someday, he doesn't call her Monika) and Alex on the bus on the way to Dragon boat Festival

Paddlers and their families....Dave is standing by the dragon head with the dark shades. Jenny is next to it, Monika in the middle and Katie next to monika.
What wonderful weather and company we had this past weekend. Thank you lord.
