70 days and waiting

Well today marks 70 days for the homestudy and we are so close. Madison (the one that has Erin file) did a finally review of the homestudy and said there are two very minor changes needed to be make. I also read the "final" homestudy and found some errors again (different ones) that are easily fixable. Crossroads said they will have it done Thursday morning and sent it to Immigrations. It has been hard to be remain positive and happy when wondering if it is ever going to happen. Thankfully we know that we are coming to the light at the end of this tunnel, we know it will be on it way to immigrations in the morning, thank you so much. We pray no more hangups.

On a lighter note, Our FCC (now switching to FCA) had their annual Chinese New Year event this past Sunday. I was on the planning committee and felt we did a great job. It was so nice to see so many face both new and old. With the decline in adoptions, it was also nice to see some little ones that have only been home for a short time.

Tonight Jade's AP Bio had an open house, so we went and saw some really cool experiments. It was nice to see the inside of one of her classes and see some of her classmates. She did a great job demonstrating 4 things, the girls and myself enjoyed ourselves.

we are one week into Lent, it is a time for fasting and reflections. The girls have been talking about it, and tonight after faith formation, we were sitting at the table finishing up supper when we got to discussing about Lent and its meaning. The girls have decided they don't need dessert every night (providing they finished all of their supper), and they want to give it up a couple of times a week. Monika also said she is going to read her kid bible more often. The girls are starting to understand more about Jesus and God, they are talking about who they are and what they mean to us and other people, asking more questions about why we pray about certain things and meanings of them. It is so nice to help teach them about Jesus and to strengthen my relationship with him.
