The Best of the Best

The Day has arrived

There were 92 girls that were competing for the 

best of the best Gymnasts.

Monika and Katie were pretty excited and nervous.

Today Monika had her friend Bella over who also

was going to state.

 They made a sign to support their team

 Arriving at state.  

Didn't noticed it was a blurry picture until downloaded on the computer...bummed

 Monika with her primary coach Kristy.  Monika has really enjoyed her small group and her coach Kristy.  She has been able to really blossom this fall under her coaching.  Monika is going to miss her as she will find out this next week, that Kristy is moving to another level to coach.  Kristy gave her a lot of drive and motivation and added some fun in it.  I am grateful that Monika had the chance to train under Kristy.

 Both Monika and Katie didn't have as good of meet as they have had in this season.  Katie struggled on the bars and fell off it, which was very unusual.  Many people including her parents thought Monika got cheated on her floor routine.  Monika was 61 out of 92 and Katie was 89 our 92.  Seeing it was state, you didn't see many mistakes.

I and the family are so proud of Monika and Katie for going to state, doing their best and enjoying it.  They are amazing gymnasts and daughters.
