Jade's Birthday

We celebrated Jade's birthday Friday with the immediate family and my mom. We stayed home due to Jenny not feeling very good. Jade once told us that her favorite fruit in China is Dragon Fruit. Dave had to drive to the other end of Minneapolis, got lost in the process to find these fruit. They are actually pretty looking. You will see in the pictures below what they look like. You peel them like an orange. They look like a white Kiwi inside, and it has a light taste to it. Jade was very happy and surprise to receive them.

Dave and I made the dumplings which Jade was so excited. We accomplished the goal and made them almost as good as Jade's. We past the test and everyone liked them.

Dave chose not to be in the picture (and I took the picture). We let Jenny in the kitchen and put her at a tv tray by Dave and I. It was a great supper.
Jade waiting to below out her candles on her cake. She was only able to blow only 1/2 of them out on the first blow. The younger girls were trying to count how many candles were still lit because that would mean how many boyfriends she would have. Jade hurried and blew the rest away.

Some updates:
Jenny, after the scary Friday morning temp., she perked up and has been back to herself since she was let off the loveseat at 10A on Saturday, she helped raked the yard all afternoon on Saturday and played hard today.
Katie, came down with the sickies this morning. She has had a cough for about a week and 1/2 and sniffles. This morning had a temp and was coughing a lot more then what she has. She looks and feels miserable. She also has no appetite, unlike Jenny who wanted to eat all the time. So hopefully she will bounce back soon.
The rest of the house is healthy right now.
On my friend that was diagnosis with Breast Cancer and just had surgery last week, she is doing well and the cancer didn't spread. She is recovering before starting chemo.
We are praying that this week will be the week we get our PA to bring Erin home.
