bouncing back fast



I have been a little slow these past couple of weeks with blogging.

Katie had her surgery on the 22nd of Feb as I had written about it.  16 hours after coming out of surgery she was doing this:

My mom and I took the girls to Mall of America.  Katie was feeling great and we decided to let her set the course on what she could and couldn't handle.  We had gotten discounts on the all day wristbands and let the girls have a blast.  Since it was a school day (except for the year around schools where were on break), it wasn't busy at all, they didn't have to wait in line longer then a minute.

We spent six hours at the mall and probably 3 on rides.  Katie didn't go on any that went upside down because she knew she wouldn't be able to handle it.  She had a lot a fun and only asked for her pain meds once that day.  We even got a bonus and had my neice Cassie join us.

That night she went to gymnastic, no handstands or cartwheels but nothing stopped this girl, 16 hours after surgery and we go on rides, 22 hours after surgery, she back into gymnastics and now she is completely back to where she was in gymnastic before the surgery.
I praise the Lord that Katie wasn't down and under for a period and that her 2nd surgery was very successful.
