birthday dinners

When it is someone's birthday, that person gets to pick out where they want to go out to eat.

Katie had picked OCB (Old Country Buff*tt)  We ate there and then came home and had cupcake (which was written on an earlier post).

Since we celebrated Katie and Monika's birthday party on Monika's actual birthday, we had to wait a couple of days after her birthday.  For the last 3 or 4 years we go to the same place

F*mous Dave's.

The first time she picked it out because it has the same name as her dad and knew it would make him happy to go there.

 She likes the food and even tried something new off her dad's plate and liked it.  If only she would do that more often.

But the main reason for going to F*amous Dave's is the ice cream sundae with a big candle.  She looks forward to it and even shares her ice cream sundae with all of us.
