Been a fun and busy time at my
parents for Christmas.

We taught my nephew from Dave's side of the family this game.
He has come up for my side of the family Christmas weekend for the 2nd year
Monika and Katie have been playing a lot of twister
a lot of laughs on positions they twist themselves into to.
Gymnastics condition has helped with this.

and even puzzles been done.
Cassie is known as the Moose girls during the cold season. She always sporting an Moose hat. This year she got a furry hat from her boyfriend's mom. My dad gave Mike a furry hat.

Jade left Early Sunday morning to go
to China to spend her J term with
her mom and dad.
She is excited as this will be the first time in 5.5 years
she is in China for Lunar year

My dad gave us animal hats,
everyone was excited.
Today was a very cold day -8 degrees with wind chill -26.
Sunday was even colder with -12 degrees and -45 degree wind chill.

Saturday weather was just perfect.
Temp. in mid/high 30's.
The kids played outside all afternoon.

Koudai built new hills to go sledding.
The ice froze uneven so no ice skating this year
we are bummed on that.
But it didn't stop us from having fun,
other then a little for me
as I didn't chance sledding, snowboarding or running around in the snow,
I am on my last week of being off work without pay due to an ankle injury.
These 11 weeks have been wonderful in every way but financially.

My dad's plow broke on the 4 wheeler while working on
plowing a pile of snow so the kids and Koudai
could built an igloo.

I am so grateful for one great weather day. The other 2 days so far have been so cold as I mentioned above. Both of these cold days, the kids still went out for a short periods and came in with
red cheeks, cold finger and toes.

I really enjoy the Christmas holidays for many reasons. Besides it being Jesus birthday which is the most important. I am able to stay spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Dave and his family at his parent's place. Our divorce didn't stop this tradition.
My mom gets us kids on the Saturday after Christmas, so she always has us for the whole weekend and sometimes even longer. I don't ever feel the rush to make sure I get all the family covered. It is also nice for both sides of the family as they don't feel they are being rushed.
