Today we had some unexpected things. These unexpected things played out the cards for the next event. It is amazing how things just unexpectedly happen. Girls asked if they could wear dresses to church, I say yes. We have a rule that if they wear dresses they were biker shorts underneath. Well in Church, Katie remember she forgot to put them on. So we stopped home, before heading up to my MIL's church for a festival. I check my email quick and had a last minute planning pool party from a good friend. So we grabbed our swimming suits and head out the door. Went to the festival, the girls won a lot of good stuff. After that we went to the friends house for almost 6 hours and the girls swam hard and played hard. I got to talk to a couple of the moms about our upcoming trip to china and gotten some advice, one mom just returned home recently with her two daughters. They eased my mind....Thank you Jean, Michelle and Diane. Getting ready to leave and Monika found a ladybug and play with it for a while. Ladybugs are good for us. Get home and had a very nice message on the machine from a friend of my that travel to China the same time we did when we adopted Monika. She and her husband were so thoughtful.

Hard to believe that in 9 days we will be on our way to China. What a journey that is coming up. Please pray that everything goes smoothly. We are doing the hotel arrangements and everything our own to save money. This is out of my comfort zone, so it will be an adventure. For those you that have adopted from China, we are not staying on Shamain Island or even close to it. We will be staying close to the Consulate. We will be enjoying a different view, but will take some trips to the Island. We just have to figure out our Hong Kong hotel. We found out it is way cheap (going by advice on yahoo groups) to take a van from Guangzhou to Hong Kong and then flying out that way. So there will be many new experiences for us.
Now time to tattle our to do list before leaving...oh why oh why did I wait until the last minute?
Congratulations, Sue! I am so thrilled for you all. I will follow your journey and keep you in our prayers. Love, Robin Maupin
