Thankful Thursday

Monday Monika had her last Brownie meeting for the school year. There are 10 girls and 2 troop leaders, with me being one of the two leaders. Our end of the year program each of the girls had to talk about one of the events or things we did. Monika got to talk about two things. First one was about toys for tots that we did in December and the other was about our visit to Ronald McDonald's house to drop off girl scout cookies, then onto Ben and Jerry's for ice cream and the Bell Museum at the U of M. All the girls did a great time. 9 of the 10 girls are coming back, 5 of the girls have been together since first grade.

Tuesday August 3, 2010 the girls had track and field day. Dave, Jade and I went to cheer them and their friends on. It was the hottest day this week with temp. hitting 98 and humidity just as high. We drank a lot of water that day. We were so proud on hard our girls did each event, doing their best and also cheering on their classmates. All the kids got ribbons for participating.

Today was the last day for our girls school. They are now done and Jenny told me in 27 days they will be back in school starting as a college freshman, 3rd grader, 2nd grader and 1st grader. We are not sure where Erin is going to be with school.

On the adoption front. We heard back from one grant committee so far. They feel we meet the requirements for a grant and now it was sent to the local chapter for them to make the final decision. We are praying that they will feel we deserve the grant and they will be able to help us. We wrote a 4 page letter about our story on how we became a family, how we found Erin, what we have done to bring in the funds and so forth. Please pray for us as we still need funds to bring her home.

Today mark 14 days since our Article 5 and waiting for TA. We are praying that we will get it in the next week and get our CA shortly after that so Jade will be able to travel with us. We do know there is a perfect plan and timing and it is in God's hand.

We are so grateful and thankful for everyone in our lives.
One last prayer request for me. As I sign off, I am heading to Monika's gymnastic place. We are doing a sleep over and I am in charge of Monika group. Please pray for everyone to have a wonderful time and that nobody will get hurt, sick or home sick...
