A road trip

 Last weekend, the 4 younger girls, my mom and I took a 6 hour drive thru Wisconsin.  Monika had a gymnastic meet in Milw*ukee Sunday night.  We decided to make it a little bit of a vacation, so we left Friday after school and stayed until Monday.  Saturday morning we spent at the waterpark.

After swimming for a few hours some of us decided to watch level 6 compete and to support them.  Erin and Jenny didn't want to go, so they stayed in the room.  We watched level 6 do awesome and they ended up with the club best score and many personal records.  Overall Level 6 got 3rd place out of 22 teams...way to go.  After they competed.  The gymnastic crew had a pizza party and then the host of the gymnastic meet had a room reserved and a dj for a couple of hours.  The dj was awsome....and the kids had a blast.

The teams being announced.  Monika's team in the back.  They did the vault first.  Monika got her best score ever on the vault.  They did the uneven bars, then the beam, which Monika fell off, but got right back up again and still scored pretty good.  The floor was their last event.  Overall Monika scored her best and was very proud of herself.

Monika got a medal in the vault.  She was number 11 out of 67 girls that were 9 years old and level 5.  Way to go Monika...so proud of you.

This was a great road trip with my mom and girls, we all enjoyed ourselves and it was so nice to spend time with mom that I don't get to as much anymore, it was also nice to visit with the fellow parents as we don't get to do a lot of that at gymnastics.  Way to go everyone, your hard work and long practices are paying ff
