It is the 8th year gathing together during the winter month at a waterpark with Monika's adoption group. There are 6 girls that were adopted together from the same orphanage and 2 other children that were adopted from another orphanage. We get together throughout the year and then one weekend we stay at the waterpark for the weekend. This year, it was 5 families (all from the same orphanage). We have nicknamed our group the SARS stars as we were one of the last families to go to China before they closed due to SARS. The 6 girls are the "Spicy Hunan Girls" or Yiyangsters. There is 3 months that seperates the oldest to the youngest of the 6 girls.

| The orange shirt is Erin. It amazes me how far she has come around with swimming. In China, she was so scared of the water, that she had a death hold grip on me, This was the first time she has swam in America. She was a little nervous at first but her sisters got her feeling good. She then spent a lot of time underwater and trying to swim. She even played a little bit of water basketball and made some baskets. |

Mommys having some fun
It has been a lot of fun, seeing the girls play with each other, you would never guess that they only see each other a couple of times a year, the girls picked up where they left off. Us adults were commenting on how each of the girls look like one another in some sort of away. You can really see some resemblences of the 5 girls. |
