My first born senstive child

We are approaching 8 years since this spunky, engernic, highly active, problem thinker and solver, loving child made us parents.  She was nickname in China as our roller coaster daughter because at 10 months old she loved all the bumps in the roads in China, she would laugh everytime we went over a bump.  Tonight the emotions came to surface, many times when her emotions get as high as they were tonight, something it bothering her inside.  She has predicted things in the past before I or anyone else knows.  She has a very good sense of feelings of others.  Even though this can be a good thing, it also can be a challenging thing for her.  She is struggling tonight with what she is feeling inside, causing her having a crying spell.  This crying spell is a different one from not getting my way, this one consumes her, she pulls on her hair, she pulls on her one arm and leg.  Monika is a social butterfly and lives life to the fullest and wants to do many things.  She is 8 hours of gymnastic a week, which she tonight she wanted to quit.  The reasons for the wanting to quit are valid for her, Dave and I sat with her and talked with her, she was giving us some reasons why she wanted to quit, Dave and I were able to offer her solutions, which in her mind frame weren't good enough.  It was decided (by her and us not pushing it) that she wouldn't go to gymnastic tonight, but she would have to talk to her coaches about it when we picked up Katie.  She spend the next two hours playing with Jenny and even helped mow one strip of grass.  When it came to go, you could tell she was nervous.  When it was time for her to talk to her coaches, she had me go with her, and then she started to cry. One of the reasons she said she wanted to quit was because she felt she wasn't good enough.  her primary coach right away started to give Monika all the examples on what she is good at and there was a couple of things that Monika can do that sounds like most of the other girls can't do, reassuring her that she is doing well and so forth, Monika really needed the pep talk.  Monika was also struggling with the recent events with her dad which I feel also having an affect on her.  She wants to do so much and doesn't have enough time in the day.  I do pray that it is an easy fix between her coaches and us, Monika can feel calm again.
