| Jadeyn, Lily and Erin. Erin and Lily were adopted at the same time (different orphanages) |
Jade started to feel better around midnight last night, We went out to lunch at the noodle company thinking Erin would really enjoy it. She wasn't to impressed by it, but she really enjoyed her time with Jade, She was comparing herself with Jade for example what little tricks Jade can and can't do with fingers (we seen it all in China), she comment on Jade's eyes and other eyes. Erin is really into images on people, she likes eye makeup, but not a lot on people, she checks to see if people have earrings, the color and texture of their face, whether they have double eyelids, which Monika does (didn't noticed that until today when Erin said something), her and Jade wrote in Chinese a little bit talking about their women similarity things. One thing I have noticed, Erin likes to connect with people that have some sort of similarity in them, whether it is signing, ear pierced, hair (she commented on her and Jade having black hair and the younger girls having brown/red hair). I tok the younger girls to a playgroup with a couple of other family with one of them being someone that traveled the same time as we did, I wrote about them often when we were in Guangzhou.
Since I have written about Dave and Erin, I have gotten so many emails, advice, suggestions from a wide variety of people. People that have adopted older kids, same age kids, younger older kids, Biological parents that has grown kids, adopted kids, kids the same age as ours ect. The advice and suggestion has been all over the board. We have taken bits and pieces of advice and worked with it and tried it. Some work, some don't. I do appeciate everyones insights and suggestions to help us through this. Today Erin talked a little bit more to Dave, Jade gave a big hug to Erin and to Dave when we were leaving and Erin stared at Jade. I don't think she knew what to make of it. She didn't hug Dave but you could see thing was going in her mind. While Dave was bring Jade home, Erin asked me to work with her again with the bike. She is getting a tad bit better with the handles in keeping them straight, that is about it. We fell over a copule of times when she would lean to a side. I am tired out. Hopefully the next time she ask, Dave will be home and he can help too. She keeps saying how amazed she is on how fast the girls can ride their bikes. She will probably learn how to do it and then it will be to cold and she will have to relearn it next spring. Monika got all caught up on her homework today, I really struggled this week with her to do it, she just didnt' want to. She wanted to play and play. So hopefully now that won't be a struggle anymore. Today is always 3 weeks since Erin physically joined our family, it seems so much longer then that. When you look at a number like that, 3 weeks isn't long at all eventhough at other times, it seems like a life time.
Great photos. Love that one of the whole family. It's really good and you all look so happy.
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed seeing you guys and meeting Erin. She is just beautiful and sweet.
